Vinted Members Share Anger Over Sizing Modifications
Vinted users have been reacting angrily following a change that caused products showing incorrect sizing.
This online marketplace has altered its sizing categories for female and kids' apparel failing to inform every member regarding the update.
Online Platforms Reaction
Many shoppers and sellers are posting online stating that platform listings now display an altered size classification compared to what was initially listed because of the remapping.
The platform stated the updated approach better aligns with comparable marketplaces.
They have suggested members to check their listings and update the measurements by hand where appropriate, causing user dissatisfaction.
Measurement Approach Updates
Before the change, the sizing featured numerical and alphabetical indicators, such as S/8 or M/10.
The new system has a letter and a range like S/UK 8-10.
For certain items, the sizing has been recategorised - for example a size L was formerly size 12 but now shows as UK 16-18.

One content creator, who creates plus-size fashion videos, stated the update "complicates both purchasing and selling".
"Not many brands say XL is a 20-22," which is what Vinted now does.
Another user, based in Glasgow, stated items she posted on Vinted with size 14 labels were appearing on the platform as size 20–22.
"If buyers measuring 20-22 acquire them they will likely be quite upset," she stated.
Necessary Adjustments
A different user, located in England, said she had been left angered by the change as she had to manually change the sizing for "all her products".
"Personally, this is quite irritating, as I'm chronically ill and platform income has been essential for me since losing part of my income," she stated.
Platform Context
The service features exceeding 100 million shoppers, including 18 million in the UK.
It has proved a popular alternative versus similar marketplaces including eBay and Depop.
This is not the initial instance when a surprising modification on the platform has faced criticism: previously, the platform withdrew an update to its shipping options after backlash from users.
