Fresh particulars have surfaced about the untimely passing of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose remains were discovered at their Brentwood, Los Angeles residence on Sunday.

A Alarm

A source indicates quoting a person close to the family, a therapist scheduled for an appointment first raised the alarm after failing to get inside the residence. The practitioner then got in touch with the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who lives nearby.

After gaining access to the residence, Romy discovered her father's body. Reports state she then left the home distraught, unaware at that moment that her mother's body was also inside. A companion who had gone with her promptly called 911. Following this, first responders found Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Criminal Developments

The police have charged the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with the charges of premeditated murder, along with the alleged use of a deadly weapon, said to be a knife. He is presently detained and denied bail.

The confidential informant also disputed several earlier details. They said that while Romy Reiner told first responders that her brother Nick lived in a detached unit on the property, she did not identify him as a suspect at that time.

Furthermore disputed widely reported notions that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been especially "worried" about Nick's conduct in the weeks leading up to the incident. The source claimed the family was "accustomed to working through [Nick's] problems together."

This refutation also extends to accounts of reportedly "unpredictable" behavior by Nick at a party held by Conan O'Brien the evening prior to the tragedy. Nick Reiner was apprehended at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the neighbourhood of Exposition Park, about 15 miles from the residence. He was due to have a hearing on Tuesday, but his attorney, Alan Jackson, stated his client had not received medical clearance and would not appear until no sooner than Wednesday.
