Emma Raducanu reached the third round in three Grand Slam tournaments Grand Slam events this year.

Emma Raducanu from Great Britain has withdrawn from the last two tournaments of the year as a result of a health issue she has been fighting over the past 10 days.

Raducanu, aged 22 was due to play in tournaments in Tokyo and Hong Kong but opted to return home to recover before starting next year's training.

Her upcoming training are set to feature coach Francisco Roig, as both individuals have agreed to work together in 2026.

She required blood pressure checks during her first-round match versus Ann Li in Wuhan last week and stopped playing when behind 6-1 4-1 on an oppressively humid day.

Another medical visit was necessary medical attention at the Ningbo Open this week, where she was defeated in three sets to Chinese wildcard Zhu Lin in round one.

Raducanu was also moving noticeably restricted in the final set against Zhu because of a lower back issue that has affected her at times this year.

These outcomes meant an encouraging season, in which Raducanu rose into the top 30 globally after a long gap since her previous ranking, concluded with three straight losses.

Raducanu had three match points before losing to American player Jessica Pegula in the third round in the Beijing tournament last month.

Raducanu won 28 matches during 2025 and made it to the semi-final round in Washington, but her most impressive week was at March's Miami Open.
