In a surprising collaboration that challenges usual expectations, the game developer has announced an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Questline Disclosed
According to the official statement, "An unusual meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where whispers of forbidden practices and terrifying changes echo through the darkness." The plot presents a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a clandestine cult.
The adventure focuses on "strange experiments and a terrifying foe" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Metamorphoses
The trailer features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser ends with a dramatic moment showing a character, presumably the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who successfully complete the mission will obtain an special katana alongside multiple objects hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
